Ares and Raquel’s Love Story Continues in ‘Through My Window: Across the Sea’

The heat of the summer sun is nothing compared to the heat on the screen!

When we last saw Ares (Julio Peña) climb into Raquel’s (Clara Galle) bed in Through My Window, we were left wondering how the next chapter in this sometimes shocking but always sexy young adult romance would play out. How will the star-crossed lovers keep their flame alive while Ares is off studying in Stockholm? And for goodness sake, has Raquel gotten any better at cybersecurity, doing more to protect her passwords and data from further hacks?

We won’t have to wonder for long, because Through My Window: Across the Sea, is available to stream now on Netflix. The sequel expands the universe that so captivated viewers in the original, with Peña and Galle reprising their roles –– this time with summer, the sea and the breathtaking landscapes of the Catalonian coastline serving as the backdrop for their new adventures.

In the original, Ares and Raquel’s lustful longing for each other is compromised by their own pride and egos, as well as external forces like Ares’ uber-rich, kinda snooty family who initially don’t approve of Raquel. The tension from their will-they-or-won’t-they pining finally climaxes when Raquel admits her affection for Ares, and the wealthy bad boy confesses he’d purposefully broken his Wi-Fi so he could hop onto hers to talk to her. Yet just as they find bliss, they’re thrown a curveball as Ares leaves to study medicine, leaving their fates uncertain.

In Through My Window: Across the Sea, Ares and Raquel find that their long-distance relationship is more challenging than they thought –– especially with new people in the picture. Andrea Chaparro, Ivan Lapadula and Carla Tous join the cast and add new twists to the young lovers’ relationship, while characters we already know, including Raquel’s friend Yoshi (Guillermo Lasheras) and Ares’ unpredictable brothers Artemis (Eric Masip) and Apolo (Hugo Arbués), also return to ensure Ares and Raquel meet drama at every corner.

Will Ares’ snooty relatives ever really accept Raquel? Will Raquel forgive Yoshi for that terrifying fight with Ares… or give in to his advances since Ares isn’t around to keep her bed warm at night? Find out now
