Choice is the literal name of the game in The Ultimatum: Choices. But so many different options, one after another after another, can be overwhelming. Some might even find it paralyzing. You’re freshly single from your will they, won’t they coupledom, and you’ve got your pick of 10 matches and so many ways to navigate your relationships with each. Fear not. We’re here to help you make the most of your time in this pocket-sized social experiment, which is based on the provocative Netflix reality show.
As you choose your way through each episode, you’ll earn achievements for hitting milestones. This time, you’ll be rewarded with more than just badges for your profile.
In The Ultimatum: Choices, each achievement earns diamonds. Kiss Taylor for a cool 50 diamonds. Give helpful relationship advice to three others for 75. Smooch eight of your cast members at least once for another 50. Claim these diamonds from the home screen, and you can then redeem them for all kinds of unlockables.
There are cosmetic add-ons like hot new outfits, sure, but you can also redeem diamonds for items that unlock new scenes and scenarios with the cast. For example, you can spend 125 diamonds to buy climbing gear for a secret spelunking date. Or 75 of them to hit the tattoo parlor with your potential special someone. You can also drop them on “spicy” pics of your fellow contestants.

It’ll take multiple playthroughs to unlock everything. In the case of the ring, for example, the first time you see it pop up during gameplay will be well before you’ve earned enough diamonds to actually purchase it. Therefore, you’re gonna be on the receiving end of the titular ultimatum during your initial run. Sorry about that.

If you want to unlock everything in The Ultimatum: Choices, you’ll have to play the game multiple times. Thankfully, that’s easy to do with the sheer amount of narrative-affecting choices you can make. You can always replay a chapter if you want to make different choices.
Keeping track of everything would be a nightmare without good UI design. Take the character cards you’ll see on the home screen, for instance. They’re like baseball cards, with a photo of your main character on the front and their relevant stats on the back. Things like job, ultimatum status, and their core values are all there for a quick refresher when you’re hopping between saves. You can even go right to the wardrobe from these cards and start customizing your main character straight away.
The amount of customization options in The Ultimatum: Choices could fill a walk-in closet or two. You can change your look (and that of your partner) from scene to scene, with a wealth of sartorial possibilities including slinky dresses, svelte suits, and statement earrings. You can alter more than that, too. Options to offer your physical presentation and experience with changes like eye shape and color, vitiligo, or insulin pumps. You’ll unlock even more options as you keep playing too.

‘The Ultimatum: Choices’ is available to play on both Android and iOS.
