‘The Sea Beast’ Netflix Trailer Drops - Netflix Tudum
Adventurous natures can’t be tamed — whether you’re a professional monster hunter or a young stowaway on a pirate ship.
In the first trailer for The Sea Beast, directed by Moana and Big Hero 6 filmmaker Chris Williams, we meet Maisie Brumble, a young girl fascinated by the valiant sailors who slay dangerous beasts haunting the deep seas. She reads the lore of their triumphs with beaming pride, hoping to venture off on her own someday.
But when she meets the most beloved hero of them all, Jacob Holland, the two become bonded in ways they never might have imagined. And though she may be young, Maisie’s got the heart of a hunter, which impresses the captain of Holland’s ship. “I see a fire in her,” the captain tells Holland. “The same fire I saw in you.”

The animated adventure features the voice talents of Karl Urban, Zaris-Angel Hator, Jared Harris, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Dan Stevens and Kathy Burke. Mark Mancina composed the score, while Williams and Nell Benjamin penned the screenplay.
