Buckle up and roll down the windows because LA’s most in demand defense attorney, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), is ready for another wild ride in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2, Part 2.
🤐 SPOILER ALERT 🤐
After a brutal attack at the end of Part 1, the Part 2 trailer opens up with Mickey waking up in the hospital. With Lisa’s (Lana Parrilla) big trial coming up, he can’t afford to have anymore setbacks. As the first-look photos show below, the tension’s flaring up in the courtroom in the second half of this season.
Mickey Haller isn’t like other lawyers. This hotshot runs his law firm from the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on LA’s biggest and smallest cases. In Season 1, we meet Mickey shortly after he’s recovered from surgery and a subsequent pill addiction. When his colleague unexpectedly passes away, Mickey gets back into the legal game, inheriting all of his cases. Working out of his car isn’t the only thing that sets this lawyer apart — Mickey takes family business to a whole new level as he works with his prosecutor ex-wife, Maggie (Neve Campbell), and his other ex-wife and assistant, Lorna (Becki Newton).
L.A.’s hottest defense attorney can be seen cruising around the city in a charcoal 2019 Navigator — driven by his chauffeur Izzy Letts (Jazz Raycole) — with a license plate that reads “DISMISSD,” or his blue 1963 Lincoln Continental Convertible compltete with “NTGUILTY” plates. Both Garcia-Rulfo and Raycole actually get behind the wheel and drive the Lincolns in some scenes.
Showrunner Ted Humphrey says they picked those two models of Lincolns for primarily practical reasons. “In the books he rides in Town Car sedans, the sort of cars that used to take you to the airport,” Humphrey tells Tudum. “But the books date back to 2005 and in fact Lincoln no longer makes Town Cars. They’ve replaced all their sedans pretty much with SUVs, as so many carmakers have, so we went with the 2020’s version, which is a Navigator. As for the classic Continental, he doesn’t have that car in the books. We have an origin story for how and why he has one — you saw his dad had the same keychain he has in Episode 106. But as for that specific model — the 1963 in the powder blue — it’s just beautiful. And it was Goldfinger’s car (well, his was a 1964 but basically the same car, same color, same interior, just not a convertible) so it felt like a little bit of movie history too.”
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 is an adaptation of the fourth book in Connelly’s series, The Fifth Witness. After achieving huge success in court at the end of the first season, when we pick back up Mickey’s kinda famous and has his choice of high-profile cases. “I think [the fame and success] has its good side and its bad side,” Garcia-Rulfo tells Tudum. “He's got this mojo back and his confidence back and all that, but I think that success brings a lot of bad stuff as well if you don't know how to handle it — and I think he wasn't ready for it.”

Returning alongside Garcia-Rulfo are Campbell, Newton, Angus Sampson, Jazz Raycole, Krista Warner, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine and Elliott Gould. Also joining the cast for Season 2 are Lana Parrilla, Yaya DaCosta, Matt Angel, Angélica María and David Clayton Rogers.
Season 2 has 10 episodes full of intrigue, legal jargon and really great suits.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 will be released in two parts this summer. Part 1 premiered on July 6 with Part 2 following on Aug. 3.
