Attention Metallica fans, Hellfire hopefuls and puppet masters: Your new favorite T-shirt has arrived like a Demobat out of hell. The Metallica x Stranger Things T-shirt collection is available now at Netflix Shop, and the designs are a high-voltage homage to the best mashup this side of the Upside Down.

Before we turn up the volume, some context: In one of the most explosive scenes in Stranger Things Season 4, Hellfire Club founder Eddie Munson — played to shaggy-haired perfection by Joe Quinn — saves his friends’ lives by jumping on top of a car and absolutely shredding Metallica’s classic hit “Master of Puppets.” The scene was so certifiably metal, the Metallica guys (James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo) posted a TikTok of the band re-creating the Stranger Things tribute to the song.

In Metallica’s Stranger Things TikTok, the band is all wearing Hellfire Club shirts, which are available for purchase at Netflix Shop. That was the beginning of a beautiful (ahem, hardcore) relationship: Joe Quinn actually went to visit the band during their rehearsal for Lollapalooza 2022, and the following day, Metallica closed their set at the festival with “Master of Puppets,” performing the song in front of a massive screen playing the Eddie Munson shred scene from the show.
But like all good metal finales, there was something even more mind-blowing in store: A Metallica x Stranger Things shirt just dropped. It features the band name and custom illustrations from the show, and more designs will be available in the not-so-distant future. The shirts were designed by fan artist Travis Knight, who also worked with Stranger Things and Target to illustrate a popular Eleven shirt when Season 4 premiered. The Metallica x Stranger Things T-shirt collection has been blessed by the one true heavy metal god (aka the spirit of Eddie Munson) and is available to purchase now, exclusively at Netflix Shop.
