For more than half a century, Sesame Street has been a beloved cornerstone of children’s media, enchanting young minds and nurturing a love of learning. Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and all their friends are back with a reimagined new season, now streaming on Netflix and available to audiences worldwide.
New episodes will center on one 11-minute story, allowing for plenty of character-driven humor and heart. The curriculum will continue to focus on emotional well-being — from learning calming strategies when big feelings arise to developing listening and problem-solving skills.
“Sesame Street’s curriculum is designed to meet children’s most pressing needs — so our focus this season is on kindness and compassion,” executive producer Sal Perez says. “Something we can all use more of today.”

Sesame Street premieres on Netflix Monday, Nov. 10 — exactly 56 years since it originally launched! The new episodes will drop across three volumes.
This new season will have a same day-and-date release in the US on PBS stations and PBS KIDS digital platforms, bringing critical early learning to children for free.
The new season of the iconic series will feature fresh format changes and the return of fan-favorite segments like Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck. Expect new ways to play along as Cookie Monster opens his very own cookie cart on Sesame Street, and Abby Cadabby explores a delightful fairy garden. And everyone’s favorite fuzzy blue friend, Grover, returns with a magical suitcase that allows him to transform into anything that can help his friends — encouraging imaginative role-play at home.
New segments, such as Abby’s Magic Beasties, provide visually engaging and heartwarming lessons. Kids are invited to help her take care of whimsical creatures (like musical dragon triplets!) as a method of developing compassion for others (magical beings or not).
Tales from 123 is a new animated segment centered around the stoop of apartment building 123, bringing hijinks and shenanigans from Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, and plenty of other building residents. Expect Superintendent Oscar the Grouch to come knocking! Someone has to keep the musical stairs and eccentric elevator in line.
All the original Sesame Street characters — Elmo, Zoe, Abby, Grover, Bert and Ernie, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and more — will be there to bring joy and learning to children this season.
Grammy winner Miley Cyrus and NASCAR champion Bubba Wallace are two of the many celebrity guests to expect this season. Check back here for more updates on new guests and storylines.
