In doing so, he discovers a brand-new confidence that catches the attention of his whip-smart legal rival. What happens in Phantom Lawyer?

Shin I-rang (Yoo) interviews at every major law office in Seoul to launch his legal career, but the fresh-faced lawyer is rejected after each one. When he meets with high-powered attorney Han Na-hyeon (Esom), he realizes why he’s getting rebuffed: He shares a last name with his father, a disgraced prosecutor who died decades ago. Determined to prove he has more to offer than his father’s tarnished legacy, I-rang rents office space to start his own practice.

The only problem? The place used to belong to a shaman who summoned spirits — and when I-rang moves in, he’s haunted by ghosts only he can see and hear. The first ghost begs the lawyer to help him, so I-rang uses his supernatural connections to gather evidence he wouldn’t have otherwise seen. His newfound powers lead him to win a medical malpractice suit involving the deceased’s family — against the undefeated Na-hyeon. She realizes I-rang clearly has a gift she didn’t notice in his interview, one she doesn’t quite understand. Despite her skepticism of the supernatural and his inability to explain what’s happening to him, the two band together to help clients in need — whether they’re alive or not.
