People We Meet on Vacation, an adaptation of Emily Henry’s friends-to-lovers travel romance, has set its sights on New York City. And you don’t even need to pack your sunscreen to enjoy the fun.
In celebration of the rom-com now streaming on Netflix, People We Meet on Vacation is bringing a summer oasis pop-up to the Big Apple on Jan. 10–11. To satisfy your travel envy, head to the immersive experience at 385 Ninth Avenue. This is exactly how protagonists Poppy (Emily Bader) and Alex (Tom Blyth) would want you to escape the bitter winter chill this year.

The transparent heated dome pays homage to the sunny destinations of the film, which takes best friends Poppy and Alex on an annual adventure around the world — from Tuscany to New Orleans and beyond. Enjoy themed bites and cocktails, photo ops, surprises, and more. As director Brett Haley says, the rom-com’s passport-ready attitude is the key to its breezy spirit.
“I want people to feel like, ‘Wow, they went all around the world to shoot this film,’ because that’s the way it should feel,” he says. Now you can feel like you spent a day in the sun alongside Poppy and Alex.
The People We Meet on Vacation oasis pop-up will be open on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday night from 4:30 to 7 p.m. ET and all day Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. All are welcome. Grab your passport (read: OMNY card) and head to the pop-up to celebrate the launch of People We Meet on Vacation.
Watch People We Meet on Vacation on Netflix now. And keep coming back to Tudum for more from the Emily Henry universe.
