Making a meal together is one of the most underrated ways to bond with your partner. But can a budding relationship withstand the heat imposed by demanding foodies around the globe? Grab your favorite sous-chef (or three) and find out in Overcooked! All You Can Eat. (Note: This title is not available to play on mobile devices. Click here to learn more about how to play Party Games on your TV.) And if you’ve ever wanted to see a Demogorgon slinging sushi, the Netflix edition of this BAFTA-winning couch co-op series is the perfect place to start your culinary adventures.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat is a Party Game designed to be played right on your TV screen. The best part? You already have everything you need to play. By simply transforming your phone or tablet into a game controller, you can easily gather friends and family in the living room for some epic multiplayer fun.
In Overcooked! All You Can Eat, you and your kitchen crew are the Onion Kingdom’s only defense against a towering spaghetti-and-meatball monstrosity known as the Ever Peckish. Your initial encounter with this malevolent mass of carbs and protein is doomed from the start, and you’re whisked back to 1993 via a portal opened up by the anthropomorphic Onion King himself. The real game begins here: boning up on your culinary skills across pirate ships, city streets, haunted houses, a space station, and even an ice floe before you return to defeat the preposterous pasta monster.
In the second campaign, the bumbling Onion King undoes all your hard work when he discovers an arcane cookbook — the Necro-nomnom-icon — and reads it aloud. It’s almost like this fool never saw The Evil Dead. Chaos ensues: the Unbread are knocking at the door. This time out, you’ll traverse sushi kitchens, wizard academies, mines, and alien planets in an effort to keep the penicillin at bay and undo the Onion King’s disastrous foible.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat collects over 200 levels into one pressure cooker of a co-op adventure. It spans two full games, all their DLC, seasonal side quests, and a prequel story for the most battle-hardened chefs.
At its core, the series is a race against time. You need to serve as many meals as possible, accurately and quickly. Dishes like onion soup or burgers seem simple on paper, but forget about logical layouts—these kitchens are designed for mayhem. You’ll need to sprint from crate to cutting board to frying pan, battling shifting platforms, ice, and your clumsy companions to get the job done.
It might look “cozy,” but this isn’t a relaxing night in with wine and jazz; it’s a never-ending lunch rush that puts your multitasking skills to the test. Fortunately, the whimsical art style and chill music help dial back the intensity. Plus, customizable options—like eliminating order timers—are on tap to make things easier, so there’s no reason to fear the kitchen.
The coolest new additions to Overcooked! All You Can Eat are definitely the 10 Netflix celebrity chefs in the pantry. You can play as Dustin, Eleven, Lucas, and the Demogorgon from Stranger Things, to start. And there are a half-dozen faces from KPop Demon Hunters who are hungry to serve up a storm too: Mira, Rumi, Zoey, Jinu, Derpy, and Sussie.
