The two begin a fiery affair that quickly spreads into a dangerous, all-consuming romance. Obsession, directed by husband and wife creative team Lisa Barros D’Sa and Glenn Leyburn (Ordinary LoveGood Vibrations), is a four-episode British series starring Richard Armitage and Charlie Murphy. What happens in Obsession?

On the surface, renowned surgeon William Barrow leads a perfect life as part of London’s upper class. He and his wife, Ingrid, are devoted to one another and are close with their adult children, Jay and Sally. But when William meets Jay’s soon-to-be fiancée, Anna, everything changes. William and Anna soon begin a passionate affair that jeopardizes their relationships with everyone around them.

The series was filmed and takes place in London. 

Is Obsession based on a book? 

Yes. It’s based on the 1991 novel Damage by Josephine Hart. The first adaptation was a 1992 film starring Jeremy Irons and Juliette Binoche.
