Make Some Noise for the Hilarious First 3 Minutes of ‘Neon’

    Big dreams meet bright lights.

    April 9, 2025

Pack your belongings and hop in, we’re going dream chasing in Neon, a brand new comedy about a determined reggaeton artist and his best friends as they move to Miami to hustle, grind, and claw their way to the top of the music industry. Season 1 drops on Oct. 19, but until then, Tudum is introducing you to the charming cast and showcasing the first three minutes, which you can watch above.

In Neon’s first scene, we meet rising star Santi (Tyler Dean Flores) as he finishes performing for a large crowd, receives a congratulatory video call from Daddy Yankee — who is an executive producer on the show — and is greeted by some flirtatious fans. However, it’s all a dream. When Santi wakes up, he’s in the car with his manager Ness (Emma Ferreira) and creative director Felix (Jordan Mendoza) en route to Miami, where they plan to make his dreams a reality. As you’ll see in the clip above, the squad receives a surprise that definitely indicates they’re making some meaningful progress and gives them an extra jolt of motivation.

It’s immediately evident that Santi has lofty ambitions, and for co-creator and executive producer Max Searle, it only made sense to establish those through lines early on. “This show is about following your dreams, so it felt right to hit the audience right off the bat with Santi’s literal dream,” he tells Tudum.

What else can you expect from Season 1 of Neon? Aside from elite original music, appearances by reggaeton royalty, captivating chemistry, and an inspiring story, Searle promises friendship is at the heart of the show. “While everyone probably can’t relate to following a friend to pursue their dream of being the biggest star in the world, we hit a lot of very familiar things that will resonate with anyone who has friendships that’ve changed and evolved over time and led to entirely new friendships,” he says. “It’s these overarching themes that we felt really allow people to get on board with the characters.”

Santi, Ness, and Felix are coming to conquer the world of reggaeton. See you at the top. Neon launches on Oct. 19.
