When Sergio was a teen, he killed his parents. After several years in a juvenile detention center, he’s released — and heavily monitored. But the thing about Sergio is he hasn’t spoken a word since his parents’ death — not why he did it, how he did it… nothing. What’s he hiding? And can the psychiatrist who’s surveilling him 24/7 get to the bottom of it? Arón Piper (Elite) stars in the Spanish psychological thriller Muted (El Silencio), a series from Aitor Gabilondo (Wrong Side of the Tracks).

What happens in Muted?

A woman biking alone at night is thrown to the ground when a body lands next to her. Moments later, another body crashes onto the pavement. Above her, Sergio looks out from his balcony, then walks away to find his little sister hiding in her bedroom. Years later, Sergio is imprisoned at a juvenile detention center, having been convicted of his parents’ murders. Ultimately, he’s let out for good behavior — but his release has limitations: He has to wear an ankle monitor, and his apartment (where his parents were killed) is rigged with cameras to watch his every move. Ana, a psychiatrist with a dedicated team of trackers, is determined to catch Sergio admitting to what he did — and why.
