It may appear to viewers that Mary Fitzgerald and her Selling Sunset castmates don their stilettos 24 hours a day, but the pumps actually do come off — behind the scenes, of course.
While chatting with Gen Fricker and Alexei Toliopoulos on a special episode of the Lived It podcast, Mary reveals that not all listings (and outfits) are made equal. While The O Group agents are known for flaunting their fashions, she says some repeat clients don’t need the same flash.
“There are certain clients that kinda get mad at me,” she says. “Well, not mad, but they’re like, ‘What are you doing? You do not have to dress up for us.’ Like, if I have heels on, they’re like, ‘Do you have flip flops? Do you have flats? Go put them on. Stop killing your feet.’” Mary also says she switches up her style based on the area code — for example, she dresses more conservatively in Bel Air and saves the sex appeal for Hollywood Hills.
During the interview, Gen and Alexei ask Mary about everything Selling Sunset Season 5, including what it’s like to work with Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim after their breakup (“It just takes a little bit of time”) and how her relationship is with perennial villain Christine Quinn (“We don’t talk”). She also chats more about the benefits of working from home, including avoiding some of her castmates’ interesting office habits (looking at you, Jason).
