Breaking into a tight-knit friend group can be tough, but for Byron Baes star Jade Kevin Foster, it’s as easy as finding a new bae.
On this week’s episode of We Have the Receipts, hosts Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Chris Burns sat down with the reality star, calling in all the way from the much-talked-about Gold Coast. During Byron Baes’ first season, influencer Foster acclimates to the Byron Bay area and becomes friendly with a close group of locals but doesn’t reveal much about his love life.
So, true to the podcast’s name, Foster said he’s “gotta get a little bit juicy” on this episode. He shared that he’s actually been engaged for two years to fiancé Johnny Magz — but it’s not the first time he’s been proposed to.
“I actually first got engaged when I was 18 years old, to a navy officer, and I was engaged to him for, like, five years,” he said. “Then I split up with him because I had trust issues from watching my parents’ relationship, and then I got engaged again to a 41-year-old, and I was with him for three and a half years. Then, I was actually hosting and judging a modeling competition where I randomly met my new fiancé, Johnny.” Foster went on to say he met Magz while engaged to his previous fiancé — and promises that this engagement will be his last. The couple filmed multiple Byron Baes scenes together, but Foster said they unfortunately didn’t make the final cut.
In the interview, Foster also spilled about his casting process, his rise to influencer stardom and his love-hate relationship with fellow cast member Alex Reid — and on Reid’s end, he thinks it could be love. Plus, Speed-Hamilton and Burns interrogated Foster about Byron Baes’ signature “ceremonial cacao,” which he said tastes like “chocolate and dirt.” To hear more, listen to the full episode below or catch it on Spotify, Apple or wherever you get your podcasts.
