Boxing fans need to wait just a little bit longer to see the sport’s biggest disrupter in the ring again. Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix are no longer moving forward with the Jake vs. Tank matchup – featuring international superstar Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis – originally scheduled for Nov. 14 at Kaseya Center in Miami.
Plans remain for a Paul-headlined event on Netflix in 2025, with more information to come.
Most Valuable Productions initiated an investigation into Davis upon learning about the civil lawsuit filed against him in Miami-Dade County on October 30.
“Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly,” said Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions. “While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025. Details regarding a new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional bouts will be shared as soon as they are finalized. We thank Netflix, the Kaseya Center, and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for their partnership.”
Since entering the ring as a professional boxer merely five years ago, Paul has taken the boxing world by storm, with a record-breaking fight against Mike Tyson in 2024, that set the stage for Netflix’s entrance into live boxing. Paul most recently earned a unanimous decision over Julio César Chávez Jr. in a 10-round cruiserweight bout in July.
