Love is in the air and leaves are blowing in the breeze, which means Heartstopper is coming — and now you can see a little bit of what’s in store this new season.

If the recent Heartstopper Season 3 trailer drop left you itching for more, you’ve come to the right place. Above you’ll find a clip of Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) from Episode 3, “Talk.”

In it, Charlie gifts Nick a bag of jumpers, the two of them cozying up to each other in a season that promises to bring their relationship to new places as they face big emotional challenges. After Season 2 concluded with Charlie on the cusp of texting Nick “I love you,” fans were left wondering if he pressed send.

As Connor tells Tudum, “I think Nick is also very ready to say ‘I love you.’ I don’t think it’s really crossing his mind quite as much though, because he is just very concerned for Charlie and feels like Charlie’s holding something back from him, and that is a worry.”

Meanwhile, Locke believes Charlie’s hesitation stems from having a reserved personality, saying, “I think it’s a big step for him. In Season 1 and 2 we see Charlie is quite shy. He’s quiet and not very confident. So for him to feel like he’s met someone who he feels he [can] say, ‘I love you,’ and they might be able to say it back, is a very big step for him and his confidence.”
