Prepare to swoon: While the Heartstopper gang will be back with more episodes in 2023, they want you to end your year with a little extra love in the form of a deleted scene from Season 1. Heartstopper follows a group of British teens at Truham Grammar School for Boys and Higgs Girls School as they navigate friendships and relationships in their picturesque town.

The clip features a heartfelt moment between old pals Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) at a sleepover, where they cuddle and confide deep feelings to each other. “I don’t want to be alone,” Tao confesses to his bestie. “You’re not,” she says. “Thanks,” he responds. Sparks fly between the longtime friends, both metaphorically and literally (in the form of Heartstopper’s trademark illustrations). 

Check out the video above if you want to feel warm and fuzzy as you head into the new year. Heartstopper will return for Season 2 in 2023, when you’ll be able to see the gang back together and meet a bunch of friendly new faces.
