For many, the holidays don’t begin until the holiday movies do. And like other staples of the season (decorating the tree, sending holiday cards, gathering with family), there’s something comforting about Hallmark Channel movies, with their familiar characters and festive plots. But you don’t have to wait until December to start enjoying them, or even change the channel — there are 10 Hallmark Channel holiday movies available to stream on Netflix in the US right now.
Grab the cocoa and settle in for A Biltmore Christmas, a standout from the 2023 holiday season starring Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha. Lenz stars as Lucy Hardgrove, a screenwriter hired to write a — you guessed it! — Christmas movie set at the Biltmore House. While visiting the mansion, Lucy accidentally time-travels to 1947 and meets her romantic interest, Jack Huston (played by Polaha).
If you prefer your films set in the present day, you may enjoy Haul Out the Holly, starring Hallmark Christmas queen herself (and the star of the upcoming Hot Frosty), Lacey Chabert. Her character, Emily, visits her parents for the holidays, only to find out they’re leaving for vacation. Because she’s there alone, she must solely take on the duties of decorating the house and participating in the neighborhood’s over-the-top festivities — or else suffer the wrath of the Evergreen Lane HOA.
Don’t be a grinch (like some of these characters are at the start of their films) and put these titles in your queue to get into the holiday spirit now.
