Ready to escape the Underworld and rebel against a life under his father (Hades), Zagreus must hack and slash through multiple dungeon levels ––  inspired by Greek mythology –– to find his mother. Should the character die in the attempt (and yes, you will while playing), they’ll have to restart from the beginning (with a cutting remark from Hades on your failure every time). Fortunately, there’s help in the form of powerful divine Boons granted by the gods of Olympus who are cheering on from the sidelines. 

Where can I play Hades?  

Hades is available exclusively through your Netflix account on iOS-only capable devices. Simply sign into the Netflix app on your device, navigate to the games row within the app, and look for Hades there. Click the tile, and that will take you to the app store to download the game where you can play to your heart’s content. Hades performs best on devices that are running iOS 16 or later. 

Can I use Bluetooth controllers? 

Yes. Hades plays great with both touch-screen and Bluetooth-enabled controllers. The iOS app also features fully customizable touch controls designed for this version of the game.  

How do I play Hades? What are the secret tips?

They say reflection upon oneself is a powerful way to build character. The same is true for the Prince of the Underworld and the Mirror of Night, located at the beginning of each attempt to escape. Take a moment after each try to reflect in the mirror and if you collected enough Darkness during your attempts to escape, you can upgrade your character so they’re stronger and have a better chance for next time. And, keep an eye out for any keys that are dropped by your enemies in the dungeon. Those can unlock more powerful weapons to help in your next escape attempt.
