Get ready to head back to Wellsbury — Season 2 of Ginny & Georgia lands on Netflix Jan. 5.
When Season 1 left off, Georgia’s (Brianne Howey) fiancé is just reelected as mayor, and Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) run away from home after being disappointed by their mother. Ginny’s social life is blown to pieces by the revelation that she cheated on Hunter (Mason Temple) with Marcus (Felix Mallard) — which doesn’t even begin to compare to some of the revelations that might come about her mother’s history.

With so much going on, we compiled a list of all the main players, checking in on where each of them left off and introducing the actors who play them. So read on to refresh your memory before the arrival of more Ginny & Georgia, and follow the show’s stars on social media.

Newly engaged to the (newly reelected) mayor of Wellsbury, Georgia is on a high in the final moments of Season 1 — though that’s before she learns that, the very same night as the election, her children had run away on a stolen motorcycle. In the days that follow, though pained by their departure, she tries to stay positive. The only direction Georgia knows, after all, is forward — so she bravely marches on, embracing her new role as “mayoress,” planning the wedding of her dreams and trying to stay one step ahead of the people digging up her past to take away her future.

In addition to portraying the charismatic Georgia, Howey’s TV credits include roles in Fox’s The Exorcist, Hulu’s Dollface and the CW’s Batwoman.

Before Ginny & Georgia, Roumel made some TV appearances, including in an episode of Designated Survivor, but teenage Georgia is her biggest role to date.

The information that Georgia poisoned Kenny poisons Georgia’s relationship with her daughter, Ginny. After stealing Marcus’ bike to skip town, Ginny wants nothing more than to get as far away as possible from her mother — but she can’t escape her life in Wellsbury forever. She still wants Marcus, wants her friends back, wants to express herself. These typical teenage desires are only intensified by the (notably less typical) anguish she feels from the dark revelations about Georgia. An isolated, traumatized Ginny engages in self-harm, and she finally asks someone she trusts to help her stop.
Previously, Gentry appeared in Ben Shelton’s teen movie Candy Jar and an episode of Netflix’s Raising Dion, but Ginny & Georgia marks her breakout starring role.

Sweet, imaginative Austin has some trouble adjusting to life in Wellsbury, but most devastating to him is finding out that his father never received any of his many letters, and all the replies Austin treasured were Georgia’s forgeries. So he ran away with his sister, his world shaken. But when he returns to his normal life in Season 2, things change in surprising ways — including both his social life and his relationship with his father.
Despite his young age, La Torraca has a handful of credits to his name, including roles in Abe Forsythe’s horror comedy film Little Monsters, NBC’s La Brea and the Australian drama Lambs of God.

Even though Ginny stole his motorcycle, moody artist Marcus’ love for her hasn’t waned. She inspires him, and that inspiration brightens his world — but can’t banish his inner demons.
Before he was climbing up drainpipes as Marcus, Mallard had roles in CBS’ Happy Together, Netflix’s Locke & Key and NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, as well as Brett Haley’s film All the Bright Places.

Max isn’t in a good place. Still heartbroken from ex Sophie’s (Humberly Gonzalez) rejection, her loneliness is exacerbated by the discovery of Ginny and Marcus’ romance. So she’s icing them out, along with Abby (Katie Douglas), who knew but kept it secret. It’s possible that Max is being slightly dramatic as she wallows in her feelings of betrayal. You might say she’s somewhat prone to dramatics.
Aside from Max in Ginny & Georgia, Waisglass’ most notable role was Frankie Hollingsworth in Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi: Next Class. She’s appeared in episodes of numerous other series.

Georgia’s neighbor, fellow mom and confidante, Ellen, cuts off their friendship at the end of Season 1, incensed that Georgia had known about Marcus and Ginny but didn’t tell her. Both women miss their wine-night buddy as Season 2 begins, but the disappearance of Marcus’ motorcycle doesn’t exactly help heal their broken bond.
Robertson has dozens of credits to her name, but is best known for playing Jocelyn Schitt, the mayor’s wife in the beloved Canadian sitcom Schitt’s Creek. For this role, she won a SAG Award along with her castmates for best ensemble in a comedy series.

After winning reelection, Paul is eager to make good on his campaign promises and to marry his vibrant fiancée. He makes a sincere effort to blend their families, doing his best to bond with Georgia’s children and introducing her to his own well-to-do New England family (who aren’t so immediately charmed as he was). Meanwhile, he keeps learning new things about his bride-to-be — some more welcome than others.
Among Porter’s many film and TV credits, his best-known roles are as quarterback Jason Street in NBC’s Friday Night Lights and Southern lawyer George Tucker in Hart of Dixie. He currently voices The Flash in the DC Universe/HBO Max series Harley Quinn.

Upon recognizing a significant pair of aviators at the end of Season 1, Joe realizes that Georgia is the teenage girl with whom he once shared a sandwich 16 years prior, and his crush on her becomes all the more crushing. He does his best to fight it off, though, as Season 2 begins; he devotes himself to his Blue Farm Café and makes an effort to date.
Despite a large collection of prior credits including Degrassi: The Next Generation, Orphan Black and Freeform’s Shadowhunters, Ablack’s major breakout came in 2021 with his roles in Ginny & Georgia and Netflix’s Maid.

They may have won the election, but that doesn’t mean Paul’s ambitious campaign manager, Nick, is going to relax. He still loves to argue with Georgia, whom he mistrusts ever since he saw evidence of her embezzlement. He also still loves his boyfriend, Jesse, who he doesn’t realize is actually the private investigator Gabriel Cordova.
Beirne’s long résumé includes episodes of FX’s Mrs. America, You’re the Worst and the second season of Fargo, but he’s best known for starring in Matthew Rankin’s 2019 film The Twentieth Century.

In Season 1, Abby made the mistake of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when she caught Ginny and Marcus in an embrace, then kept quiet about it. Now Max is furious at Abby for not having shared what she knew, and Abby is furious at Ginny for having put her in that position. She still struggles with tension at home and body image issues, but this time without any friends to distract her from it all.
Douglas’ many credits include main roles in the Canadian TV shows Spooksville, Mary Kills People and Raising Expectations, as well as the still-running Pretty Hard Cases.

With Max still outraged at both Ginny and Abby, MANG is down to just MN; even peacekeeper Norah can’t hold the exclusive teen crew together. Her life continues much as it previously has, however, as she’s still friends with Max and in love with Jordan.
Though she’s appeared in episodes of various TV shows, Clark’s biggest role before Abby is Esme Song in Degrassi: Next Class.

The dissolution of Hunter and Ginny’s relationship was hard on Hunter, a devoted boyfriend who truly loved her. In the days that follow, he uses music to work through his complicated feelings.
Temple has appeared in a handful of other TV shows, but Ginny & Georgia is his first major credit.

After answering Ginny’s frantic summons in Season 1, Zion resolved to take a more active role in his daughter’s life, even though his on-and-off relationship with Georgia is over. Now pausing his itinerant lifestyle, he settles in Boston — where he receives some unexpected visitors early in Season 2.
Mitchell is best known for his performance as Earving/Black Noir in Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, but his résumé also includes the CW’s Arrow and iZombie and the WB/the CW’s Supernatural.

Hired by Kenny’s ex-wife to investigate Georgia’s suspected involvement in her late husband’s untimely death, Cordova failed to get any information out of Ginny in Season 1, though his questioning did alert her to one of her mother’s dark secrets. In Season 2, even after Kenny’s body is mysteriously disposed of, Cordova stays in Wellsbury to sniff around the Miller family, convinced there’s a bigger story there. Calling himself “Jesse,” he dates Nick to provide an alibi for hanging around.
Before Ginny & Georgia, Mallari racked up a long list of credits, including roles in the Netflix film The Adam Project and in Syfy’s Dark Matter and Freeform’s Shadowhunters.

At the end of Season 1, after finding Austin’s undelivered letters to his father — which Georgia never mailed, instead replying to them herself — Ginny sent them to their intended recipient (who was never, in fact, in the wizard prison of Azkaban). In Season 2, Gil makes his first in-person appearance. Georgia’s charming ex says he simply wants to spend time with his son, but she doesn’t trust him — perhaps for good reason.
Ashmore’s impressive résumé comprises dozens of film and TV credits, most notably main roles in the WB/the CW’s Smallville, Syfy’s Warehouse 13 and Netflix’s Locke & Key.

Though she didn’t win the mayoral election, Cynthia doesn’t mourn that loss for long. She’s got a deeper, more painful crisis demanding her attention: her sick husband’s worsening condition, which leaves her feeling helpless and lonely.
You may recognize Grdevich from the Canadian shows Slings & Arrows, Intelligence and Kim’s Convenience — or you may just recognize her voice from Sailor Moon, in which she played Sailor Pluto.

In the aftermath of the MANG split, Ginny devotes more time to her budding friendship with Bracia, who’s longing to play the lead in the next school musical (and longing for the attention of one of her classmates).
Griffiths has appeared in DC Universe/HBO Max’s Titans and Netflix’s Grand Army, but Bracia is her first major role.

While Max is crushed over their breakup, Sophie is doing just fine. She continues to thrive and post well-lit thirst traps, which torment her ex.
Gonzalez’s earlier credits include roles in the Canadian TV series Utopia Falls, the CW’s In the Dark and the 2022 Netflix film Slumberland.

Having ended things with her former friend-with-benefits Marcus, Padma moves on by working on her music and getting a new job.
The sister of Raymond Ablack, who plays Joe, Rebecca Ablack has also appeared in the Netflix films Let It Snow and Luckiest Girl Alive, among other credits.
You can follow Ablack on Instagram.

MANG may have broken up, but loyal Jordan’s relationship with Norah is still going strong.
Gobbo has made a variety of TV appearances, including in episodes of BBC America’s Orphan Black and DC Universe/HBO Max’s Titans; he’s currently in the Canadian sitcom Son of a Critch.

Groups evolve and friendships fade, but one thing always stays the same: Everyone loves to hang out and smoke weed in goofball Brodie’s basement.
With a handful of credits to his name, Smith has appeared in USA’s Dare Me and the Canadian horror anthology series Creeped Out.
You can follow Smith on Instagram.

He’s kind of a jerk, but Jordan, Brodie and Hunter continue to hang with their old friend Press — who always saves his meanest insults for Abby.
Before playing Press, Romeo appeared in Syfy’s The Expanse, among other series and films.
