Whether you’re looking to pop the question or plan a memorable first date, comedian Fortune Feimster’s sharing all the mishaps you should avoid in this trailer for her upcoming special, Fortune Feimster: Good Fortune.
In this first peek, Feimster recalls the time she proposed to her now-wife, Jacquelyn Smith. It’s a story they’ll both always remember — but not for the right reasons. From booking a Big Sur room with an ocean view to setting out candles, Champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries, one would think Feimster has what it takes to give The Bachelor producers a run for their money. “We finally get up there, and it’s just fog, fog, fog,” she reveals in the teaser. (But don’t worry: Smith said yes!)

Despite not having luck on her side, Feimster’s still able to find some laughs along the way. Her new comedy special also covers getting iced, receiving a mind-blowing butt massage and all the uproarious stories in between. Feimster’s previously starred in The Mindy Project, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and Life in Pieces and lent her voice to Q-Force, The Simpsons and Mindy Kaling’s upcoming animated series Velma.
Get ready to test your luck and take some notes on navigating adulthood because Fortune Feimster: Good Fortune premieres Oct. 25.
