Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 is about to be in full bloom. Dust off your fairy wings as we get ready to return to Alfea this fall — but just because the Burned Ones have been defeated doesn’t mean there isn’t more evil lurking. In this behind-the-scenes reel, the cast and showrunner Brian Young gush about what we can expect next season.

“Season 2, I feel like it’s just a whirlwind of emotion and adventure,” Abigail Cowen, who plays Bloom, shares. “We have new villains, we have new additions to the school, we have Flora — who is Terra’s cousin.” Joining Bloom are Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), Terra (Eliot Salt) and Musa (Elisha Applebaum). The squad’s newest earth fairy is Paulina Chávez, who starred as Ashley Garcia in the series The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia. 

Chávez isn’t the only addition to the Fate cast. As the video shows, Alfea is also welcoming two new boys, including Brandon Grace, as Grey, and Éanna Hardwicke, as Sebastian. Although we’ll have to wait to find out more about their characters, van der Westhuysen does hint at what’s ahead. “You can expect epic fights and lots of steamy romance,” she says. “In Season 1, the big question was, ‘Who am I?’ In Season 2, the big question is, ‘Who am I going to be when I grow up?’ ” Young adds. It’s clear that Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 is leveling up — and it’s ready to fly high on Sept. 16.
