When it comes to the world of animal secret agents, there are only two names that you need to know — Sam Snow and Kit Casey, the dynamic duo behind The Creature Cases, Netflix’s series about a detective duo who are excellent at solving mysteries about animals and their habitats. It’s time to meet these agents and the super special team behind them.

When there is a mystery to be solved, you can expect Agent Sam Snow, a lively snow leopard with an English accent and a fondness for hot tea, to be on the case. His tolerance for cold temperatures allows him to expertly navigate the arctic when the case calls for it. Still, Sam is the warmest agent around. Sam’s knack for being observant, quick and calm under pressure helps when it’s time for him and Kit to collect clues and evidence to solve the trickiest of cases. Fun fact: Snow leopards can’t roar, so don’t expect Sam to raise his voice. But what he lacks in loudness, his partner certainly makes up for.

Don’t let her small stature fool you — Kit Casey is a spunky agent who has a very large personality. Her courageous, clever and creative fox ways help her and her partner in crime solving, Sam Snow, whether they’re collecting evidence, talking to other animals or solving mysteries. Kit has lots of knowledge about animals, which comes in handy when she’s interviewing animal suspects or coming up with remedies to help those in need. Fun fact: Kit’s big ears aren’t just for show. She can pick up on sounds that her partner might not be able to hear. This is just like foxes in real life, which have an incredibly keen sense of hearing (in addition to their keen sense of smell) that they use to locate their prey.

As the head of CLADE — Covert League of Animal Detective Experts — Director Peggy Scratch is on hand to lead her team in the direction of their next Creature Case. Although you rarely see Peggy away from her desk at CLADE headquarters, she is the suit-wearing boss behind every operation and knows that she can count on her team to solve mysteries and help other animals when they’re in need. Fun fact: Just like Peggy Scratch at the lead, chickens know who’s boss. This species forms social structures in their chicken coops so everyone knows their place.

As the heads of CLADE’s surveillance team, Bill and Jill stay silent most of the time — but it’s all part of their sneaky demeanor. How else would they be able to remain undercover and gather information on their subjects in need? When they’re not filming and recording other animals or wearing super cool sunglasses, they’re making music and dancing to the beat. Bill and Jill are two of the coolest cats — um, mice — around. Fun fact: Bill and Jill have a lot in common with their real-life animal counterparts because mice are party animals. They’re nocturnal, so they like to sleep during the day and move around, or dance, at night.

When Kit and Sam are in need of technology to help them with their cases, they go to the Stinkwells — the skunk duo at CLADE who are always on top of the latest innovations. It’s nothing to make a stink about, especially since the Stinkwells are more than willing to aid in whatever the agents need to help them solve their case. Fun fact: When it comes time to ward off a predator, skunks will do a warning dance before they spray their smelly scent. However, the Stinkwells are more focused on their power than their dance moves.
