In Chosen, a meteor strikes a small fictional town in Denmark called Middelbo. Seventeen years later, the site is a tourist attraction — complete with a piece of the rock that people can gawk at. But when a kid convinces Emma, a teen who is reluctantly employed there, to let him touch the artifact and it falls apart, she loses her job and the illusion that her bosses were telling the truth about the meteor.

But Emma isn’t alone in her suspicions: A group of teens are also convinced something sketchy is going on. She teams up with them, determined to get to the bottom of the mystery. And, naturally, in very teenagery fashion, some drama breaks out among the newfound friends.

Ahead, we break down the key players in Chosen to keep an eye on as the mystery unravels.

Malaika Berenth Mosendane as Emma

The Character: After Emma accidentally stumbles upon a major conspiracy, she befriends a group of like-minded young people and eventually gets tangled up in a love triangle with Marie and Frederik.

The Performer: This marks Mosendane’s big break, with her previous credits including a couple of episodes of the TV series The Sommerdahl Murders.

Andrea Heick Gadeberg as Marie 

The Character: A shy member of the group, Marie believes she has found a kindred spirit in Emma and develops feelings for her.

The Performer: Gadeberg has appeared in films like Riders of Justice and Held for Ransom, as well as shows like Sygeplejeskolen and Pagten.

Andreas Dittmer as Frederik

The Character: Among a group of teens, a driver’s license is valuable currency. Frederik takes charge as the driver of the group. He and Emma also bond behind Marie’s back. 

The Performer: Dittmer previously appeared in the miniseries Frederik IX.

Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt as Mads

The Character: Mads is the leader of the group, determined to get to the bottom of the conspiracy’s secrets, no matter the cost.

The Performer: Lindhardt has appeared in films like Riders of Justice, Another Round and As in Heaven, as well as TV shows Pulse and Bedrag.

Mohamed Djeziri as Elvis

The Character: Elvis is a gregarious member of the pack. His family notably acquired their wealth from the alleged meteor event. 

The Performer: Djeziri starred in the TV series Try Hard.

Line Kruse as Lykke

The Character: Lykke is Emma’s mother, who has been hiding an important secret from her daughter.

The Performer: Kruse has appeared in films The Green Butchers, No Time for Love and Love Is All You Need, as well as TV shows Bedrag and Krummernes Jul.

Anders Heinrichsen as Lukas

The Character: Lukas is a mysterious being that appears to want to help Emma… but can he be trusted?

The Performer: Heinrichsen has appeared in films like The Pact, Breeder and Blood Machines, as well as TV shows like Fixer, Grow and Bedrag.

Ken Vedsegaard as Thomas

The Character: Thomas is the CEO of Astraeus, the shady company that has taken an interest in the small town of Middelbo in the aftermath of the meteor crash.

The Performer: Vedsegaard is a TV vet whose credits include Shadow and Bone, When the Dust Settles and Forbrydelsen.
