Over the weekend, Chloë Grace Moretz married her longtime partner, model Kate Harrison, in an intimate ceremony. The pair, who’ve been together for seven years, were featured in Vogue about their nuptials. “I think what I’m most looking forward to about getting married is just being together,” Moretz told the publication.
The 28-year-old actor has been a Hollywood mainstay, with roles across film and television since she was a child. She’s gone laugh-for-laugh with comedy legends in 30 Rock, worked with acclaimed directors like Luca Guadagnino in Suspiria, and put her own spin on iconic characters like Stephen King’s Carrie White in 2013’s Carrie. Read on for some of the other films on Moretz’s stacked résumé.

Moretz became one of Hollywood’s most wanted actors for playing Hit-Girl in 2010’s Kick-Ass. She plays a young vigilante trained by her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage), who’s on the hunt to bring down a crime boss named Frank (Mark Strong), along with Frank’s son, Chris — aka the superhero Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). A regular teen named Dave (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) enters the fray when he decides to become a superhero named Kick-Ass.
Moretz returned for the 2013’s Kick-Ass 2. In the sequel, Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl are now well known for fighting crime and have a whole gang of self-made superheroes joining them. Their enemy Red Mist has rebranded and is building a team of supervillains to avenge his father. Can Hit-Girl and Kick-Ass take him on? More importantly, can teenage Hit-Girl survive high school?

Moretz joined forces with Denzel Washington to explore some darker themes in The Equalizer. In the action film, she plays Teri, a teen sex worker who meets a man named Robert McCall (Washington) at a 24-hour diner where the two start to chat about books. Robert is a former Marine, and when he finds out that Teri is being trafficked by the Russian mafia, he returns to his roots to protect her.

A WWII pilot, Maude Garrett (Moretz) is on a top-secret mission with an important package to protect as she travels from New Zealand to Samoa. When she boards the aircraft, she deals with a surly and sexist crew who belittle her. But they’re not the only ones getting in her way on the flight — Maude’s also up against a literal monster.

After it’s seen orbiting the globe, a mysterious object destabilizes power across the world, launches a series of natural disasters, and causes widespread disease. The lives of teen Cassie Sullivan (Moretz) and her family are entirely upended as this alien force, which is attacking from space, descends on Earth to further infiltrate humanity. When her beloved younger brother is taken by the alien “others,” Cassie goes rogue: In the face of apocalyptic threats, she’ll do whatever it takes to find him.
