Max (Simon) is just a normal kid from an incredibly rich family — he has an equally wealthy childhood bestie turned first love, an acceptance letter to a prestigious university, and blindingly bright future ahead of him. Until one evening, that is, when Max crashes his car after partying too hard, and his girlfriend dies in the accident. Despite Max’s family money, he ends up serving prison time; his whole world narrows to a hell of his own making. Suddenly, three years after his conviction, his father Rafa (Santos) springs him from a life sentence, and shows him what’s been going on in the world. Nuclear tensions are rising.

As the two families work through mutual blame and guilt, nuclear bombs are dropped and Spain’s wealthiest elites watch in horror as the surface world is obliterated.
