Eun-su (Jeon) is a savvy salesperson well versed in luxury watches, a single woman laser-focused on becoming an executive with control over the company one day. It’s as far as she can run from the abusive home she grew up in, and the nights when she’d hide herself and her younger brother in the closet to escape the sound of her alcoholic father hurting her mother. The only reason Eun-su survived growing up in such a wretched home? Her high school best friend, Hui-su (Lee You-mi), saved Eun-su from a suicide attempt and promised things would get better.
Now that Eun-su is grown, things are better — but only for her. Hui-su’s trapped in an abusive marriage that mirrors that of Eun-su’s parents. Only Hui-su’s husband, Noh Jin-pyo (Jang), is wealthy enough to buy Hui-su apology jewelry at Eun-su’s store every time he hurts her. When Eun-su pieces together the familiar pattern of Hui-su’s avoidance and Jin-pyo’s purchases, she’s determined not to let her best friend suffer what her mother went through. Eun-su and Hui-su hatch the perfect plan to kill Jin-pyo, but a nefarious figure from their past threatens to destroy the peace they’re willing to sacrifice everything for.
