In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki

Plucky ninja Tsubaki heads into some mountains to locate her two missing teammates, who have gone in search of their village's foremost enemy: men.

Team Dog takes on the confident Benisumomo's Team Sheep in a combat practice match. Hoping to get Tsubaki's attention, Sazanka sneaks out of class.

Wishing her teammates would get along, Tsubaki asks the two members of Team Snake for advice. Hana makes the class play an educational game of tag.

After Tsubaki overhears the shocking truth about men, Hana tells her everything. Mokuren wants to relax, but the other girls keep asking her for help.

A disagreement over some fruit leads to a contest of cuteness between Tsubaki and Hinagiku. Ajisai resents being coddled by her teammates.

A shy, masked student transfers to the village and is placed on Tsubaki's team. Due to her way of speaking, the other girls are convinced she's a boy.

A curious Hinagiku asks Sazanka to help her unmask Rindou. When Hana tells Tsubaki and Rindou to visit her later, they worry she will scold them.

Asagao inadvertently angers the fearsome members of Team Boar after they return to the village. Tsubaki recounts the day she and Sazanka became close.

The girls are tasked with catching Hana's snakes, but Tsubaki doesn't like that they call the creatures "men." Team Rooster returns from seclusion.

Tachiaoi worries she isn't cut out to lead Team Rat. Sazanka and Asagao race Benisumomo to a cave to gather herbs but find the entrance has collapsed.
