Aoi Miura toils away at his job in Tokyo. When an old friend calls him about a class reunion, his thoughts turn to his childhood friend Akari.

Aoi is shocked to learn that Akari is dating his friend Shota. On the way home, he discovers that Kohei is in Tokyo while talking to him on the phone.

Kohei teases Aoi after he sees a movie with Akari. Aoi sees a man who looks like Akari's father at his new worksite.

Akari finds her love letter to Aoi in Shota's house. The thought of entering an architecture competition excites Aoi.

Aoi heads for Shota's place after hearing that Akari hasn't come home. Shota tells him she ran out after hearing about her father.

Having finally expressed their feelings, Akari and Aoi head home. But something is growing in Akari's heart from the time she spent with Aoi.

Akari heads to Aoi's place from the hospital after keeping him waiting all night. Aoi sends her home without allowing her to offer an explanation.

After witnessing Shota's proposal and promise to support Akari, Aoi doubts whether he can make that kind of long-term commitment.

Aoi finally realizes just how important Akari is to him. He desperately chases after her as she heads to see Shota.
