Kanata handily maneuvers the upgraded 86 through the Ashinoko course. Later, an eager Beckenbauer aims for the top spot with his qualifying run.

Rain begins to pour before the Ashinoko GT. Kanata brushes off concerns about the wet conditions, claiming the weather will work in his favor.

Kanata remains unfazed by the wet road, slipping past Taylor on a curve before catching up to Sakamoto and the other drivers in the third-place group.

As the race enters its second lap, Sawatari closes in on Beckenbauer. Meanwhile, Kanata takes advantage of the volcanic ash to overtake Sakamoto.

Akaba's Ferrari goes toe-to-toe with Ishigami's Porsche. Kanata steadily climbs positions in the race and closes in on Maezono's NSX.

A thick fog rolls in on the final lap, but MFG management allows the race to continue. Kanata sees the situation as an incredible opportunity.

Kanata has taken third position, but the fog clears up as he enters the forested area, threatening his advantage. Akaba strives to close the gap.

Akaba and Kanata approach the finish line. Later, Keisuke Takahashi gets permission from his brother to put his star pupil in the next race.

Sena Moroboshi tells Kanata he's looking forward to competing against him in the MFG. At Kanata's request, Okuyama begins turbocharging the 86.

Ren's coworker Kyoko asks her about the boy she likes. Meanwhile, Kanata mentally prepares himself for Round 3 of the MFG at the Manazuru Peninsula.
