Rurouni Kenshin

Kaoru laments her parting with Kenshin. Sanosuke and Yahiko resolve to go after Kenshin as he heads for Kyoto — but Saito stands in their way.

Left behind in Tokyo to look after the dojo, Megumi encounters Aoshi, who demands to know Kenshin's whereabouts. Later, Kenshin runs into a bandit.

Misao decides to accompany Kenshin to Kyoto in hopes of reuniting with Aoshi and the Oniwaban Group, but Kenshin tries running away from her.

Saito and Kenshin leave the devastated Shingetsu Village and head toward Shishio's mansion. Meanwhile, Eiji resolves to get revenge on Senkaku.

Kenshin and Misao arrive in Kyoto and meet Misao's adoptive grandfather, a former Oniwaban spy who agrees to help Kenshin find two specific people.

Cho, one of the 10 elite swordsmen under Shishio's command, learns about the existence of Shakku’s last-ever blade. Intrigued, he visits Seiku.

Cho uses a whip-like sword to attack Kenshin, who struggles to evade the strikes. Inspired by Kenshin's conviction, Seiku makes a bold move.

Some years earlier, Kenshin collapses from a fever and awakes to find himself being nursed back to health by a former private detective and his wife.
