Keisuke Niijima's blissful days end when his wife passes away. Ten years later, a little girl suddenly appears at his door with a surprising claim.

With Takae back, Keisuke is eager to make up for lost time as a family. However, Takae grapples with a difficult situation in her current home life.

Mai feels discouraged after struggling to communicate with a client at her new job. Takae invites her to a fireworks festival to cheer her up.

Hoping to avoid repeating her mistake, Mai approaches Renji before his lesson. After running into each other, Takae and Moriya grow closer as friends.

As Christmas approaches, Takae tells Keisuke and Mai she will move away. Later, Takae's mother brings her to an amusement park to meet up with Hiroki.

After seeing Takae's complicated family situation firsthand, Keisuke tries to think of a way to help her. Chika reflects on her childhood.

Keisuke has conflicting feelings after he discovers that Mai is dating Renji. Later, Renji invites both them and Takae on a fishing trip.

Having lost all of her memories as Takae, Marika is confused but begins to feel a sense of peace as Chika does her best to support her.

Takae discovers the astonishing truth about her situation. Keisuke later comes to the same realization but finds it almost too hard to accept.

Keisuke tells Moriya about Takae's predicament. While accompanying Mai and Renji to check out their wedding venue, Takae makes them a request.
