Sengoku Youko

Aspiring swordsman Shinsuke encounters a fox spirit girl and her magic-wielding brother. Together, they confront a notorious group of bandits.

The Dangaishuu monks reveal to Tama and the others that Shakugan is actually a human who has been transformed into a monster by a dreadful experiment.

Jinka locates the monks’ research facility but is knocked unconscious by a mighty blow. Meanwhile, Shinsuke and the others face an enhanced human.

Jinka and Tama fight a Katawara who refuses to protect a village despite demanding offerings from its people. A swordsman interrupts the battle.

Higan — the assassin sent by Yazen — is Zanzou's sister, Hino. The Katawara inside Shakugan realizes that the one inside Higan is an old friend.

After Tama catches a whiff of some legendary liquor, she and the others meet an imposing Dangaishuu member. Tama challenges him to a drinking contest.

Jinka brings a heavily pregnant woman to Kagan’s hometown to rest, but her safety is soon threatened when Douren and Resshin come looking for Jinka.

Angered by the loss of Shakugan, Shinsuke sets out to slay a Katawara that demands human sacrifices, but he is attacked and knocked out by Resshin.

The mountain goddess asks Jinka, Tama and Shinsuke to help her awaken the brainwashed Taizan. Later, she puts them through individual training.

Jinka and the others manage to complete their training. When the mountain goddess urges them to attack the Dangaishuu's base, Tama has a bolder plan.
