Disgraced cop and hit man Nick Sax uncovers a criminal conspiracy, survives a heart attack and meets Happy, a flying blue unicorn visible only to him.

Nick joins a high-stakes poker game in an effort to win enough money to skip town while Happy tries to persuade him to rescue the kidnapped Hailey.

Very Bad Santa tries to glean information from Hailey about her father, while Amanda enlists Merry's help and Nick recalls a traumatic Christmas past.

Hailey's trail leads Nick and Happy to Chinatown, while crime lord Blue's reality TV star sister Isabella starts asking questions about her dead sons.

Ax-wielding thugs interrupt Nick and Amanda's reunion. Hailey and the other abducted kids are relocated, and Merry is questioned by Internal Affairs.

Nick finds a way to pressure Blue into freeing Hailey, but he gets separated from Happy, who encounters a strange group of ex-imaginary friends.

Happy and Nick reunite to join Merry in an assault on Blue's operations. Amanda confronts a celebrity, and Smoothie lays bare his nickname's origin.

As a desperate Nick closes in, Happy comes up with an unorthodox method of finding Hailey, who is once again in the clutches of Very Bad Santa.
