Fake Marriage

Polite yet misanthropic librarian Hiro unexpectedly reunites with her cheerful college boyfriend Choji, who makes a surprising request.

Hiro agrees to live with Choji until she finds a new place but urges him to tell his mother they won't marry. His mother asks to meet Hiro's family.

Choji's mother insists he and Hiro hold a wedding reception, sparking an argument between mother and son. Hiro relents in a bid to restore peace.

Hiro isn't sure how to handle the stunning revelation from Choji's mother. Later, she encourages Choji to tell Tamotsu how he feels about him.

Choji hosts a house party and invites Tamotsu, Yuu and her mother. When Yaeko suddenly shows up with her kids, Hiro suspects something is wrong.

When Yuu is abducted by her abusive father — a lawyer named Minagawa — Hiro enlists Tamotsu's help in carrying out a plan to get her back.

After a message outing Choji appears on its website, the kindergarten schedules a meeting with the parents so he can explain the situation.

Hiro goes to the Goda house and learns the shocking truth about her parents' deaths. Later, Tamotsu tells her that Choji hasn't been himself lately.

Having kept their promise, Choji and Hiro tell each other what they've been up to for the past year and reveal their respective romantic partners.

After returning home from Toyama, Hiro suggests having a wedding celebration with Shiori but struggles to suppress her feelings for Choji.
