Asa is fascinated by Makio and Kasamachi's relationship. She attends her high school entrance ceremony, but struggles with her fears and expectations.

Memories of her mother hold Asa back from making a decision to join an extracurricular group. Later, a guardianship supervisor visits Makio and Asa.

When Emiri comes to visit, she asks Makio a question that reminds her of her breakup with Kasamachi and inspires her to reach out to him again.

At a diner, Makio learns more about her sister from Emiri's mother. Later, Emiri resists Asa's attempts to pry into her love life.

Asa struggles with feelings of resentment towards Makio for hiding her mother's diary. Makio learns that Asa has been absent from school for two days.

Learning that the school band prioritizes original songs for its concert performances, Asa decides to try writing lyrics. An old friend visits Makio.

With Makio's editorial assistance, Asa works on her drafted lyrics. She considers auditioning for the lead singer in an upcoming campus concert.
