Solo Camping for Two

Solo camping enthusiast Gen begins a typical excursion. When he encounters a first-timer without a tent, Gen helps her, against his better judgment.

Shizuku asks to camp with Gen until she gains more confidence in camping solo. Gen teaches her the first basic step of camping: pitching a tent.

Under the guise of shopping for gear — and with some encouragement from her friends — Shizuku visits the outdoor goods store that Gen frequents.

After Gen refuses to answer the question as to why he goes camping, Shizuku is forced to reflect on her own reasons for wanting to camp solo.

Gen's friend interrogates him about his relationship with Shizuku, causing him to think deeply about his feelings about camping together.

Shizuku struggles to maintain a fire during Gen's camping lesson. Gen attempts to illustrate the basic principles of building a proper campfire.

Unable to go camping during a busy period at work, Gen makes a bonfire on the riverbank. Shizuku visits him there to show off her graduation outfit.

Gen and Shizuku go on their first trip in a while, but he is appalled by how she packed her gear. He gives her some packing tips as she cooks dinner.

During their first multi-day trip together, Gen rewards Shizuku with a special gift to celebrate the progress she has made in her camping skills.

Motivated to become more independent, Shizuku goes shopping for camping gear. She runs into a woman who happens to be Gen's former partner.
