My Wife Has No Emotion

Office worker Takuma lives alone with a helpful robot named Mina who prepares all his meals. One day, he jokingly asks Mina to become his wife.

Takuma and Mina enjoy a picnic in the park — until it suddenly starts raining and Mina’s battery runs too low for her to move until the next morning.

Takuma’s younger sister Akari visits him to learn more about his wife. But when she discovers that he is in love with a robot, she has questions.

While at the beach with Mina and Akari, Takuma encounters a familiar-looking robot searching for her master and offers to help her find him.

When Takuma is awoken by something hard hitting his head, he worries that he did something to upset Mina. Later, Super Mina drops by with a gift.

Takuma has a chance to inquire about Mina’s oddly affectionate behavior before she must return to her factory for an upgrade and safety inspection.

Mina has only been gone for three days, but Takuma already feels lonely without her. After an unhealthy dinner, he receives a special delivery.

Mina begins teaching the childlike Mamoru new skills, but she seems oddly displeased whenever Takuma praises the little robot’s rapid progress.

When Mina and Super Mina’s memories get jumbled up, Super Mina learns the identity of Mina’s former owner but struggles to track him down.

Mina and Mamoru get hopelessly lost on their way home from the supermarket after the black cat they use as a landmark wanders to another part of town.
