When Makoto Misumi is summoned to another world to be its hero, he appears before a goddess to receive her power. But she immediately dislikes him.

Now in human form, the dragon Shen guides Makoto around her mystical domain. She later invites the highland orcs to come and make it their new home.

Makoto awakes to learn he has formed a pact with the Black Spider and later gives both her and Shen new names. More races move into Shen's realm.

While walking the evening streets of Zetsuya, Makoto and Mio run into a little girl named Rinon, who tells them her older sister has gone missing.

Makoto and his companions battle monsters en route to their destination. After arriving, they decide to share a celebratory meal before parting ways.

Rembrandt explains to Makoto why he needs the monster parts. Makoto learns that he will have to pass two exams in order to register at the guild.

Hazal and Makoto concoct the elixir that will save Rembrandt's family. When Makoto meets up with Tomoe and Mio, they are ambushed by some adventurers.

Makoto, Tomoe and Mio discover that the warriors they've been training have lost their confidence. Tomoe comes up with a competitive solution.

The demiplane residents hold a feast to celebrate the founding of Makoto’s trading company. Later, Tomoe and Mio sense something has befallen Makoto.

After fighting back against the forest's custodians, Makoto and Mio visit their hidden village to talk trade but soon stumble upon something sinister.
