In the opening one-on-one battle, there's no scaling back on taste as each team chooses a chef to take on the first secret ingredient.

As the teams race to climb the rankings, their plans are thrown into disarray when a new ingredient lands in the kitchen mid-challenge.

The battle heats up as the teams take on unfamiliar cuisines, with culinary experts from each region judging their dishes.

The rankings are in, and those at the bottom can grasp the top spot if they satisfy the judges with their octopus dishes... and a briny surprise.

With extra points on the table, the race for ingredients is on, but a surprise challenge leaves the chefs without their cooking essentials.

Chaos erupts in the kitchen as chefs take turns crafting scallop-based savory and sweet dishes, with each limited to 10 minutes at the stove.

Combining their culinary skills with the art of storytelling, each team must serve a dish based on an assigned genre: drama, action, fantasy or comedy.

The semifinal is here, and the five teams must figure out how to rack up the points they need to be crowned the Iron Chef champions.

With the final around the corner, the teams take time to unwind by touring the streets of Thailand with help from the Iron Chefs.
