My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999

Akane gets dumped by her boyfriend for a girl he met in an online game. She vents to a male player in the same game and happens to meet him later.

To her embarrassment, Akane wakes up hungover in Yamada's apartment. After returning home, she realizes she may have left her necklace at his place.

Akane fails to muster any enthusiasm at a group date. Later, she spots Yamada and Rurihime chatting and wonders if they are closer than she realized.

At her first offline guild meetup, Akane receives a shock when her fellow members introduce themselves and reveal which player character is theirs.

Runa invites Akane to a café but sends a hardcore Rurihime fan in her place as a prank. Yamada fears for Akane's safety when he learns of this.

Akane and Runa begin to grow close. After becoming friends with Yamada in-game, Akane decides to go on a hunt, but her laptop suddenly explodes.

When Yamada enters Akane's apartment to fix her laptop, he finds her napping and is unable to look away until a surprise visitor rings the doorbell.

Akane goes to a festival at Yamada's high school with her guildmates but causes a stir among the female students when she meets up with Yamada.

Following Yamada's comments at the festival, Akane struggles to process her feelings toward him. A crisis in the guild causes Runa to panic.

A concerned Tsubaki reflects on her history with Yamada. Meanwhile, Yamada takes Akane to the hospital in the middle of the night to treat her cold.
