With You and the Rain

Returning home in the rain, Fuji encounters what seems to be a dog inside a cardboard box. She makes the fateful decision to bring it home.

As Fuji and You head out for a walk, they meet their next-door neighbor, a little girl named Kii, whose pet dog keeps its hackles raised around You.

Fuji's friends come to visit. Fuji hands You a sketchbook to demonstrate how they communicate, but You gets stage fright and runs off.

On a summer afternoon, Fuji goes to a fireworks festival with her mother and You. However, while Fuji buys food from a vendor, You disappears.

Fuji joins an online meeting after her editor taps her for a manga project. While watching You play, she realizes there will be a full moon that day.

You tries to befriend the black cat that Fuji is pet-sitting for her younger brother, but each attempt fails. Later, You gets another chance.

A frustrated Fuji is at a complete loss for any story ideas. You tries to help by bringing her inspiration to overcome her writer's block.

Fuji goes out for a meeting, leaving You home alone. You passes the time by playing with toys and exploring the apartment until Fuji returns.

In early spring, Kii gets caught in some sudden rain. When Fuji passes by and offers Kii her umbrella, the two share a curious conversation.

Asked to write a script for an anime, Fuji struggles to balance her priorities. She takes a moment to watch the sunset outside her window.
