Jang Ok Jung

Ok-jung gains fame for her dressmaking, but business slows down when her mother’s identity is exposed. One day she runs into Crown Prince Lee Soon.

Young Ok-jung is raised by family friend Lady Kang with whom she trains as seamstress. She meets young Soon at a bookstore and spends time with him.

Soon reunites with Ok-jung at a grand party held by his uncle Dongpyeong. While pursued by debt collectors, Ok-jung learns an armor maker is needed.

Ok-jung winds up on the training grounds and sees Soon, who offers to teach battle moves to help her armor making. Min Yoo-joong plots against her.

Soon becomes King Sukjong after his father passes. After an attack by Southern assassins, Ok-jung finds him injured while fleeing with her mother.

Sukjong is attacked again, while Ok-jung is also captured by her pursuers. She agrees to become a court seamstress if her mother is set free.

Jang Hyun, cousin of Ok-jung’s father, overturns the plot to kill the king. He orchestrates a reunion between Sukjong and now court lady Ok-jung.

Queen Ingyeong succumbs to illness and dies. Inhyeon is promoted as the next queen. Ok-jung is placed in charge to create a royal gown for Inhyeon.

Dongpyeong is shaken when he discovers Sukjong’s love for Ok-jung. Sukjong falls into a coma after attempting to protect Ok-jung from a wild horse.

Dongpyeong gives Ok-jung refuge after she is exiled. She and Sukjong confirm their love when he awakens. Min Yoo-joong attempts to take her life.
