The Cat and the Dragon

In a forest full of beasts, a mother cat finds a baby fire-breathing dragon among her newborn kittens. She decides to raise the orphan as her own.

A spell summons the mother cat to a magic school. Taking pity on her summoner, struggling student Anne Rossa, she becomes her guardian and tutor.

Two pairs of cats come to the cave to give birth to seven kittens. The dragon raises them with tough love, but their curiosity takes him by surprise.

At the dragon's request, Kurobane visits the royal capital and meets newborn Prince Stan, who is quickly charmed by the black cat's tail.

Seeking territory of her own, white cat Shirotae leaves the forest and meets Gally, a girl clumsily hunting to feed the children at her orphanage.

The cat who tends the forest's vast foxtail field inherits the name Moshamosha. Moshamosha IV leads his apprentices through another grueling season.

Urged by Anne Rossa, the mother cat returns home at last. In her old cave, she finds the dragon fully grown, guarding the forest and raising kittens.

Town cat Haibuchi watches city life from his perch in the great bell tower. Meanwhile, Prince Stan takes on a beginner's herb-gathering quest.

Spotting Gally's talent, Shirotae works to make her a mage. Despite her laziness, Gally finally casts a small fire spell instead of an explosion.

The dragon receives a visit from his brother, a Greater Demon who runs a magic school dungeon. Learning of Mother's Day, they decide to show thanks.
