Ten years later, Jinya lives in Edo as a ronin known for slaying demons. He accepts a job to protect a merchant’s daughter from a persistent demon.

A soba shop owner tells Jinya of a slasher brutally murdering people in the streets — but the number of dead doesn’t match the number of missing.

Jinya and Mosuke save Natsu from a demon assault at night. Believing the demon to be his wife's murderer, Mosuke pursues it to a nearby temple.

A samurai grows concerned because no one remembers his older brother's existence — not even his parents. Ofuu and her father ask Jinya to help him.

Naotsugu leads Jinya to his brother's room at his family's estate, where they are transported to another world and encounter a mysterious young girl.

Naotsugu encounters Harlot and falls for her. A shadowy man appears nearby who reminds Naotsugu of his brother, but Harlot calls the man an old flame.
