Car racer Kanata comes to Japan from Britain to compete in a racing circuit. He tells the daughter of his host family that he has one other goal.

Kanata gets off to an incredible start in the preliminary race, but he must make it through Hakone’s treacherous foggy zone if he wants to qualify.

Having deftly driven through the dangerous area, Kanata hurtles toward the Kamaboko Straight, determined to clinch a place in the finals.

While Ogata tunes the 86 ahead of the next race, Kanata and Ren explore Kamakura in hopes of finding the location in the photo of Kanata's parents.

Kanata outmaneuvers Maezono's Civic to move up to 14th place. Further ahead, Akaba approaches Oishi, and Beckenbauer takes on Ishigami.

Announcer Tanaka reveals Kanata's connection to Takumi Fujiwara. Kanata makes it through the fog and pulls ahead of the siblings to take 11th place.

Despite falling to 13th place before entering the final lap, Kanata confidently keeps pace with Nozomi and Kakeru as they approach the downhill area.

Kanata enters the foggy zone after overtaking the siblings and catching up to Hänninen. Despite his limited sight, he drives full speed ahead.

While battling Akaba and Sakamoto on the Kamaboko Straight, Aiba makes a critical error. Meanwhile, Taylor tries to reclaim 9th place from Kanata.

Kanata meets with Ogata and the mechanic Okuyama to discuss improvements to the 86. Later, Ren and her friend run into Kanata in Kamakura.
