Banana Fish

Young Ash, the leader of a New York gang, encounters a dying man in a back alley who passes him an address and mumbles the words Banana Fish.

Gang member Skip and budding reporter Eiji are kidnapped by Arthur. Ash goes to help, but things escalate when he's caught trying to rescue them.

An attack in prison leads Ash to discover that cellmate Max, a former journalist, has investigated Banana Fish. He later gets a message out to Eiji.

Arthur confronts Eiji, who is researching the secret substance. But their encounter is cut short when Griffin’s sudden appearance sparks a gunfight.

Out on bail, Ash is determined to avenge Griffin's death. He tries to head out alone but Eiji, feeling partly responsible, insists he goes with him.

Ash’s group makes a revealing discovery about Banana Fish and the address handed to him when they look through information left behind by Griffin.

After shaking off Golzine's men, Ash and his group eventually make their way to the address in Los Angeles. They arrive to the sound of screaming.

The group splits up when Ash joins Max in rescuing his ex-wife and child. While they're away, Yut-Lung forces Shorter to help him kidnap Eiji.

Taken prisoner at Golzine’s mansion, Shorter and Eiji come face to face with the Banana Fish creator -- who is eager to start an experiment.

Ash is freed by Yut-Lung and regathers his group as allies arrive. After locating Eiji, Ash deals with Shorter's corpse and the twisted Abraham.
