Young adventurer Bell Cranel ventures into the dungeon at the heart of Orario, seeking treasure and a meeting with a beautiful girl.

Though Bell's patron goddess Hestia is jealous of his infatuation with the swordswoman Aiz, she asks the goddess Hephaistos to make a sword for him.

A creature escapes during Monster Philia and ambushes Bell and Hestia in town. Though it's hopeless, Bell vows to fight.

Bell's special skill allows him to level up quickly. After checking his status, Eina takes him shopping for equipment suitable for level seven.

Hestia is overjoyed to be going on what she thinks is a date with Bell, only to have it spoiled. Meanwhile, Lili's motivations are revealed.

Eina learns the Soma Familia's true purpose, increasing her suspicions about Lili, who goads Bell into venturing to the tenth level of the dungeon.

Hestia reluctantly agrees to allow a transformed Lili to join the party, though she's jealous. Then Eina sets up a meeting with Aiz for Bell.

Bell's training with Aiz ends before the Loki Familia goes on a quest. He's determined to go on an adventure in the dungeon to level up.

Bell's leveling up means that he acquires a new skill and a title. He also needs to form a party to explore the dungeon's middle levels.

While Hestia waits, Bell and his party battle monsters on the middle levels. Hermes and Asfi discuss Bell's reputation amongst his fellow adventurers.
