After the romantically inexperienced Adachi gains the ability to read minds, he listens in on a coworker's thoughts and learns something surprising.

Adachi seeks advice from his romance novelist buddy. Later, while drinking with their coworkers, Adachi and Kurosawa are pressured to kiss each other.

During a company karaoke outing, Adachi starts to feel closer to Kurosawa. Later, their junior coworker Rokkaku invites them both to a sauna.

After turning 30, Tsuge also gains the ability to read minds. Adachi spots Kurosawa with a woman who appears to be his ex-girlfriend.

Kurosawa starts staying at Adachi's place, but Adachi worries it will be awkward to be alone with him and invites Rokkaku over to hang out.

The day after Kurosawa's sudden confession, Adachi offers to help Fujisaki with her work at the office, but he can't get Kurosawa out of his head.

Adachi and an enthusiastic Kurosawa head to Yokohama for their first date, but Adachi starts to worry that he's not good enough for Kurosawa.

When Adachi and Kurosawa's company needs more participants to try out a range of fitness equipment, Adachi contacts Tsuge, who brings Minato along.

Tsuge encourages a disheartened Minato to reconnect with Rokkaku. Later, Adachi is asked to transfer to his company’s new branch in Nagasaki.

Realizing he has been relying too much on his ability, Adachi resolves to tell Kurosawa how he feels. Minato goes to an important dance audition.
