Dead or Love

Businessman Masato and his wife Mio enjoy a happy marriage. However, one day, she starts to suspect that he lied about being away on a work trip.

Two detectives visit the pastry shop to ask Mio and her boss about the murdered journalist. Masato and Mio's new neighbor continues snooping on them.

After Iroha is found dead, Oyamada becomes a suspect in both her and the journalist's murders. Meanwhile, Masato has trysts with investor Masumi.

Masato arranges a romantic trip for him and Mio to have a private wedding ceremony. Ishiguro heads to Kobe in hopes of learning about Masato’s past.

Ishiguro gives Inspector Tomizawa the results of Minamizawa's investigation into Masato's background, which reveals a nearly inconceivable truth.

Tomizawa decides to begin the investigation anew. As Masato prepares for the anniversary trip, Masumi reaches out to him. Ishiguro approaches Mio.

Ishiguro tails Mio and Masato, but Masato soon notices they are being followed. The police determine that Masato's previous wife was murdered.

With a hatchet in hand, Masato corners Mio. Ishiguro attacks him in a desperate bid to protect Mio, who takes a bold action of her own.
